Scholarships at AUT for International Students
 

1. AUT International Scholarships

The AUT International Scholarships for South Asia, Southeast Asia and North Asia are open for Semester 1, 2025 Intake. Specific countries for which the scholarships are offered in the Asian regions can be checked on the University website. 

Level of Study: These scholarships are offered to high-achieving international students in the first year of full-time enrolment for eligible programs of undergraduate or postgraduate study.

Faculties/Schools

These scholarships are applicable for the following faculties or schools. 

  • Faculty of Culture and Society
  • Faculty of Business, Economics and Law
  • Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences
  • Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (Applicable for international applicants from South Asia, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Europe)

Scholarship Amount

  • For Undergrads: A contribution to tuition fees of $5,000 paid in the first year of study 
  • For Postgrads: A contribution to tuition fees of $7,000 paid in the first year of study

*Note: Not applicable for doctoral programs
 

2. Dean's Merit Awards 

This award is applicable for the Faculty of Design & Creative Technologies specifically for students from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa

Scholarship Amount

  • For Master’s Degree: A contribution to tuition fees of $11,000 paid in the first year of study. 
  • For Bachelor’s Degree: A total contribution of $15,000 toward tuition fees over three years, comprising $7,000 in the first year, $5,000 in the second year, and $3,000 in the third year.

*Note: Not applicable for doctoral programs
 

3. Dean’s Merit Scholarships 

This scholarship is applicable for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law only for Bachelor’s Degree.

Scholarship Amount

A total contribution of $10,000 to tuition fees for two years: $7,000 in first year, $3,000 in second year. 

Eligibility: 

To be eligible for this scholarship applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree at AUT and have an AUT equivalent GPA of B+ or higher in their previous completed qualification. 
 

4. Master of Philosophy Scholarships

This Scholarship is applicable for the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences

Scholarship Amount

A total contribution towards full international tuition fees and compulsory student services fees for 120 pts in the approved Master of Philosophy programme.
 

AUT Scholarships Application Process

Applicants need to submit one AUT International Scholarship application form for each scholarship they are eligible for. Those shortlisted will be awarded one scholarship only.


AUT Scholarships Deadline

Applications will remain open until all available spaces are filled, with a final closing deadline of November 15, 2024 for Semester 1, 2025 Intake. Aspirants aiming for Semester 2, 2025 Intake can check for the opening and closing dates for AUT scholarships on the website by January or February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for Master's & Bachelor's Applications at AUT

Given below are the basic requirements that you need to meet before you apply at the Auckland University of Technology.

PTE: Total, 50 with no section below 42
