For the different levels of study, International Students need to have a score of 55-60% and above in the previous academic qualification. They also need to take an English Language Proficiency Test. Yes, George Brown College has been accredited by the Government since 1967. It is regulated by the ministry in the country namely Ministry of Colleges and Universities Act – R.R.O. 1990, Reg.771.

3. Does George Brown College offer Masters Programs?

No, GBC does not offer Master’s Degree programs. It offers Postgraduate Certificate Courses which are Specialized Programs of 8-12 months focused on skills. Only Universities in Canada offer Master’s Degree options.   
 

4.  Are GBC Programs Eligible for the Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP)?

International students Graduating from a Post-secondary program may be eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) that is valid from anywhere between 8 months to up to 3 years, it depends on the duration of the academic program completed.   
 

5. I am applying as an International Student. What is the Deadline to Submit my Application?

There is no deadline for submitting your application. The program will close on its own once it is filled. Since seats are competitive, it is strongly recommended that you apply well in advance.    
 

6. Does the College have Financial Aid for International Students?

Unfortunately, commencing international students do not qualify for financial aid. However, there are many Scholarship opportunities for students entering their 2nd Semester or 2nd year.
