University of Sheffield Announces Engineering Scholarship for Sept 2025 Intake

The University of Sheffield's Engineering Excellence Scholarship, worth up to £3,000 is designed for overseas students who will be starting their Undergraduate Degree in September 2025.

This scholarship rewards exceptional academic performance, encouraging students to strive for excellence and achieve the highest potential in their field of study.

University of Sheffield Scholarship Overview

The Engineering Excellence Scholarship is awarded to students who exceed the academic requirements of the UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) standards to study in UK for international students. To be eligible, candidates must achieve exceptional A-level results specifically, grades of A*AA or higher.

Students can check for an equivalent qualification from their home country on the University Website. This scholarship is automatically awarded to all eligible students upon acceptance to the University, with no separate application required.

University of Sheffield Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, students need to fulfill the following requirements:

• The University of Sheffield should be the first choice in the UCAS application process for 2025 intake.
• Should be an International Undergraduate student for tuition fee purposes.
• Should be taking all the required subjects for the chosen degree.
  

University of Sheffield Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount varies based on the academic achievement of the applicant. The awards are as follows:

• A*A A: £1,000
• A*A*A: £2,000
• A*A*A*: £3,000

These amounts are offered as cash bursaries at the start of the course. Furthermore, students who receive the scholarship will continue to be awarded £1,000 for each subsequent academic year, provided they maintain 70% overall average marks from the previous year.

However, it’s noteworthy that the scholarship will not be applicable during any compulsory or optional study abroad periods or a year in industry. Additionally, students who fail to maintain a 70% average will lose the scholarship, and it will not be reinstated in the following year.
