Overview

Technological University Dublin popularly known as TU Dublin stands as Ireland's first Technological University. Officially established on 1st January 2019, its origins trace back to 1887 with the founding of the City of Dublin Technical Schools. TU Dublin progressed through the amalgamation of three partner Institutes, namely Dublin Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, and Institute of Technology Tallaght. At present, TU Dublin is the second-largest third-level institution in Ireland, serving an enthusiastic student population of approximately 28,500 learners. This includes over 3000 international students from 100+ countries.
 

The University is spread across five campuses, including Grangegorman, Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght. The flagship Grangegorman campus is the largest investment in Higher Education in Ireland and has beautifully restored the historic part of Dublin City with state-of-the-art facilities. The University's vision to "Create a Better World, Together" is condensed in its Strategic Intent 2030. This strategy aims to advance individual talents, promote sustainability, and deliver shared impact through collaboration. Intakes

Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) offers two intakes annually to provide flexibility for students to commence their studies at times that best align with their academic and personal plans. Intakes at Technological University Dublin are broadly classified into major and minor. 

The primary intake occurs in September and marks the beginning of the academic year. This intake encompasses the full spectrum of TU Dublin's programs, including Postgraduate, Postgraduate Diplomas and Undergraduate degrees. Courses in this intake commence in mid-September and conclude at the end of May the following year. Some programs may have specific application deadlines for the September intake.

In addition to the September intake, TU Dublin offers a secondary or minor intake in January for select Postgraduate programs. This mid-academic year option allows students to begin their studies at the start of the calendar year, with courses running from early January to mid-July. Application deadlines may vary by course, and some programs may close early if they reach capacity as the seats are comparatively limited in this intake.

Cost to Study at Technological University Dublin

Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) offers a transparent and structured approach to tuition fees for international students. The cost to study at Technological University Dublin differs depending on the level of study and residency status.
 

To confirm enrolment in a chosen program, applicants are required to pay a minimum deposit of 50% of the annual tuition fee or €6,000, whichever is greater in value. The remaining amount can be paid in instalments. For programs commencing in September, full payment should be made by January end. For those starting in January, payment must be made by the end of May. TU Dublin has partnered with TransferMate to facilitate international payments. It allows students to pay tuition fees in their local currency without incurring additional bank charges.

✅ IELTS Academic Test: The required minimum overall score is 6.0 with no less than 6 in each component.
✅ TOEFL iBT Test: The required minimum score is 80.
✅ Duolingo English Test: The required minimum score is 120 with a score of at least 110 in each sub-section.
 

✅ Indian students need to have a minimum overall average of 70% or above if they belong to CBSE, ICSE, Kolkata or Tamil Nadu Boards. 
✅ An overall average of 58% or above is accepted for students from West Bengal Board and 75% or above is accepted for Maharashtra or Gujarat Boards. 
✅ For all other State Boards an overall average of 80%+ or above is needed
