Founded in 1785, Queen Mary University of London has a rich legacy shaped by four historic institutions: St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College, London Hospital Medical College, Westfield College, and Queen Mary College making it a member of the prestigious Russell Group.

Intakes

There are two major intakes for Queen Mary University of London admissions. In addition to these primary Intakes for regular courses like Bachelors or Masters, the university also offers Diplomas, Certificates, English Language Programs, and Foundation Courses, each with varying intake periods to ensure flexibility for students.

Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to allow sufficient time for the application to be considered. 

 

Applications for this intake should be submitted by December. Students should make a note that very few undergraduate programmes are offered in January. Courses commence in mid-January for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Instead, all queries must be made through the official Queen Mary University of London application portal. The university aims to respond to complete applications within three to ten working days. The Queen Mary University admissions deadline differs by program, so students are advised to check the official website and submit applications well in advance. Late submissions may not be considered.
 

For language proficiency, the Queen Mary University IELTS requirement depends on the program with most courses requiring an overall IELTS score between a certain band. Some programs may have specific band requirements, so it is essential to verify the exact criteria before applying.

Common FAQs

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) does not charge an application fee. Applications can be submitted without any cost. However, the UG application can be processed through the UCAS portal for which an application fee of £28.50 will be applicable.

Applications can be submitted even if the final transcript or English proficiency certificate has not yet been received. In such cases, a conditional offer may be issued, specifying the grades or qualifications required to meet the entry criteria. Once all necessary documents are obtained, they can be uploaded to the MySIS Applicant Portal. If all conditions are met, the offer will be converted to unconditional.

GMAT is not required for any program under the School of Business and Management at QMUL.

Applications for multiple courses can be submitted. However, only one offer can be accepted, and the decision must be made before the acceptance deadline stated in the offer letter.

QMUL does not conduct interviews for admission.
